this 23 foot giant alligator was caught in Texas

The picture below of a giant alligator was taken by a KTBS helicopter flying over Lake Conroe in Conroe, Texas. If you look closely at the picture, you will see that the gator has a whole deer in its mouth. That alone would tell how huge it is! So if you decide to go skiing at Lake Conroe, you better not fall into the lake.

This alligator was found between Athens and Palestine, Texas near a house. Game wardens were supposedly 'forced' to shoot the alligator- guess he wouldn't cooperate...

Apparently, some of the nearby residents could hear the mammoth alligator bellowing in the night. Some of the claimed to have seen the monster in a waterway that runs behind their house, but others dismissed the stories as exaggerations. It turns out rather than to be exaggerations, the stories of the gigantic gator were, if anything, understated.

Texas Parks and Wildlife game wardens shot the beast. Some say that the Texas Game and Wildlife wardens made a huge mistake. They say that with a little pre-planning they could have easily transplanted it to the Rio Grande River.

Texas Parks and Wildlife ended up shooting this Lake Conroe alligator rather then moving it to a nearby river where it would have thrived
